馃實 Global Storytellers: From Legends to Friendship Across Europe
This school year, the Primary 6 pupils of Mendialdea IPI have been taking part in the eTwinning project "Global Storytellers". Through this international project, our pupils have collaborated with students from:
- Graft Engelbert Gymnasium, Bochum, Germany
- Hat谋p 脰MB Secondary School, Konya, Turkey
The aim of the project is to learn about each other's schools, cities, countries, cultures and stories while improving our communication, creativity and digital skills.
A lo largo de este proyecto, el alumnado ha viajado simb贸licamente por Europa a trav茅s de cuentos, leyendas y actividades colaborativas. Gracias a esta experiencia, ha podido descubrir nuevas culturas, hacer amistades internacionales y comprobar que las historias son un lenguaje universal que une a las personas.
馃憢 1. Introducing Ourselves
Our first activity was to introduce ourselves and get to know the students from the partner schools through a collaborative Padlet.
En esta primera actividad, el alumnado de los tres centros se present贸 y comparti贸 informaci贸n personal para empezar a conocerse.
馃彨 2. Discovering Our Schools, Cities and Countries
Next, each school created a video presenting their school, their town or city, and their country. These videos helped us learn more about the places where our project partners live and study.
Cada centro elabor贸 un v铆deo para presentar su escuela, su localidad y su pa铆s, ayud谩ndonos a conocer mejor la realidad de nuestros socios europeos.

馃幆 3. Learning Through Kahoot!
After watching the videos, each school created a Kahoot quiz to test what the other students had learned about their school, city and country. It was a fun and interactive way to discover new information and challenge ourselves.

馃摎 4. Exploring Traditional Tales and Legends
Stories are at the heart of our project. Each school selected and shared two traditional tales or legends that are an important part of their cultural heritage. Through reading and discussing these stories, students discovered new characters, traditions, values and ways of storytelling.
Cada escuela comparti贸 dos cuentos o leyendas tradicionales de su regi贸n o pa铆s. Gracias a estas historias, el alumnado pudo conocer mejor la cultura, las tradiciones y los valores de nuestros socios europeos.

馃幀 5. Retelling Stories Through Video
After reading the traditional tales and legends shared by the partner schools, students had the opportunity to reinterpret stories from other cultures. The pupils from Bochum created two videos inspired by legends shared by their project partners.
Despu茅s de leer los cuentos y leyendas compartidos por los diferentes centros, el alumnado tuvo la oportunidad de reinterpretar historias de otras culturas. Los estudiantes de Bochum realizaron dos v铆deos inspirados en leyendas de sus socios del proyecto.
One video was based on the Basque legend The Galtzagorris, while the other retold the Turkish legend The Legend of Ergenekon. These productions showed how stories can travel across borders and inspire new creative interpretations.
Uno de los v铆deos se bas贸 en la leyenda vasca de los Galtzagorris y el otro en la leyenda turca de Ergenekon. Estas producciones demostraron c贸mo las historias pueden viajar entre pa铆ses e inspirar nuevas creaciones.
馃幁 6. Bringing Loreley to Life: A Puppet Show
Among all the stories shared during the project, the pupils of Mendialdea IPI especially enjoyed the German legend Loreley. Inspired by this fascinating tale, they decided to transform it into a puppet show.
Entre todas las historias compartidas durante el proyecto, el alumnado de Mendialdea IPI mostr贸 un inter茅s especial por la leyenda alemana de Loreley. Por ello, decidieron convertirla en una representaci贸n con marionetas.
The students worked together to understand the story, adapt it into a script, design the characters and scenery, rehearse the dialogues and finally perform the play. This activity combined storytelling, drama, arts and teamwork while helping students improve their communication skills.
El alumnado trabaj贸 de forma cooperativa para comprender la historia, adaptarla a un guion, dise帽ar personajes y decorados, ensayar los di谩logos y representar la obra. Esta actividad combin贸 narraci贸n, teatro, arte y trabajo en equipo.
馃幀 Watch our Loreley Puppet Show
These activities have allowed our students to make new international friends, discover different cultures and experience the power of storytelling beyond borders. Through videos, legends, quizzes and performances, they have learned that stories can connect people from different countries and traditions.
Gracias a estas actividades, el alumnado ha hecho nuevas amistades internacionales, ha descubierto diferentes culturas y ha comprobado c贸mo las historias pueden unir a personas de distintos pa铆ses y tradiciones.
